Trade Representation

{kbc: trade marketing // a fresh, marketing-led approach to representation.  Ah, that’s better.}

Trade-newRepresentation.  It’s an industry with a fairly bad rep.  Why? Because, although it’s a sales and marketing function, it’s largely run by sales people.  They may be great at getting through the door but many struggle to put together an effective co-operative marketing plan.  So the trade is full of ‘same old’ promotions and, on occasion, your tour operator partners will walk all over your funding.

At KBC, we’ve got a better idea.  Our trade representation division is headed up by our Marketing Director; someone with over 15 years’ experience of sitting on the other side of that tour operator table.  She knows exactly what works and what doesn’t, what’s a good investment and what’s not, when to take a gamble and when to run a mile.  And she’ll be involved in every decision involving your money.

Our Sales and Training function is headed up by Lisa Cooper, one of the most experienced destination representatives in the industry, with a strong focus on developing relationships and generating the right Return on Investment.

Representation is serious stuff.  Don’t be fooled.

“I met Lisa two years ago and cannot say how much I enjoyed our professional and personal relationship.   I found her organized, informed and most importantly pro-active.  She quickly learned our destination and was more than able to deliver accurate, fun and informational destination training for a variety of tour operators and agencies.  I had the pleasure of joining her on a number of these sessions so I know this first hand.  She is able to interact with people on a variety of levels and has an unbelievable sense of humor.”
